Zan Zan
The word ‘zan’ refers to the 2 Chinese characters: ‘赞’ and ‘站’.
The Chinese word ‘赞’ means good and a sense of approval. We would like to strive for excellence in whatever we do, hoping to hear the word ‘赞’ and many positive responses from the student population through our work and sincerity. We also hope to achieve excellence as one body with teamwork.
The other meaning to ‘zan’ refers to '站’, which means to stand up. As the Chinese meaning suggests, we strive to be councillors who would stand up for the student population in times of need. Additionally, we would like be a listening ear to serve and help anyone in need, coupling that by being the voice of the student population within the school system, and providing the students with a favourable environment.
Thus, we wish to affirm that we will not only strive to be excellent student leaders for our school, but that we are more than willing to help and serve the school. By combining the Chinese characters together, it shows the unity and strength of our team, which we feel is important within a council. Our tagline is: We will stand up to serve you until you say “zan”!
Hey everyone! You won’t see Nicholas rushing to talk to people, but he does love interacting with people, so please talk to him and he will have a lot to say back! He provides a good shoulder to cry on, and tries his best to solve the problems of others.
Kind, hardworking and dedicated. These are the three adjectives synonymous with Elite's name. She is always ready to lend a helping hand! Even though she may seem quiet initially, once you get to know her she is really affable. So don't hesitate to approach her!
Do not be fooled by his trustworthy and serious face. Conrad is somebody whom you would associate with fun. He creates moments of fun where you would not want to forget. You will enjoy being in his company, I promise you!
Shiyun is often described as a tiny bouncing ball of energy. She really loves interacting with people and is always willing to go the extra mile. Standing at a height of 1.54m, she will never look down on you, so say hello friends!
