A.key.la

Our group name, “A.key.la”, contains references to both the name “Akela” and the phrase “a key la”.

Akela, the wise and strong wolf from The Jungle Book, is representative of our faculty’s animal mascot, and our ferocity, strength as well as stewardship in order to cultivate a closely-knit, vibrant Hwa Chong community and ensure that the JC experience of everyone would be a memorable one. “A key la” on the other hand, refers to how we are the ones to unlock the doors in order to bring Hwa Chong to greater heights, continuously embarking on new ways and methods to find the “key” to solve the everyday problems of all students.

Friends often describe me as an outgoing, down-to-earth person with a good and sometimes weird sense of humour. Nevertheless, I hope to utilise my past experiences as a former High School Councillor, to serve the students with utmost pride and passion, allowing Hwa Chong to scale greater heights.

KHORtion, GLADiator’s here! From 16S7D, I am approachable, adventurous and fun-loving. Already feeling the stress of JC life, I want to make JC as exciting as possible for all. I’d like to serve the school and work towards a better Hwa Chong! Talk to me personally to know me better!

Hello everyone! I am Anlai from 16S7D, an avid fencer and a friendly person who loves talking to people :). I love organizing activities and have the passion to serve Hwa Chong! Yep, if you need a listening ear or just someone to chat with, I’ll be happy to talk to anyone! :D
